Bronco and Pony - Week 5 Games
The on-going streak continues to go on continuing!

Halton Broncos recorded a convincing win to keep them unbeaten this season. They were worthy winners against Manchester 21 - 2 with a fine hitting display that included three doubles, two triples and a home run. The Pony game saw Halton put 10 runs on the board in the first three innings.With the saints only plating one in reply this fixture was already beyond Manchester. The final score of 12 - 2 puts Halton firmly at the top of the table with a perfect 6 - 0 record. Broncos are also unbeaten with a 7 - 0 record.



Bronco and Pony - Week 4 Games
The on-going streak continues to go on!

The fourth weekend of baseball in the Pony and Bronco leagues meant home games against Cartmel and Manchester. Halton Broncos recorded two more wins to keep them unbeaten this season. They were worthy winners in game one against Manchester 10 - 5 and managed to take the win agains Cartmel in a hard fought battle 11 - 10. The late withdrawal of Manchester left our Ponys with a single game this week. With only one run the difference over the first 4 innings, this fixture could have gone either way, but with Halton putting 5 runs on the board in the the last three innings to Cartmels 2, it was Halton that took the win. The teams are back on the road next week at Allen Field, Manchester.


Bronco and Pony - Week 3 Games
The streak continues to continue!

The third weekend of baseball in the Pony and Bronco leagues meant a long distance fixture against Cartmel Valley Lions. Two tougher games this week as opposing teams are looking to reverse previous losses.The Broncos game stayed close throughout with the lead changing three times, until a 3 run homer in the 5th innings saw Halton edge ahead and hold on for the win 5 - 4 The Ponys also had a game on their hands with the scores staying level through the first 4 innings. One run in the 5th and two more in the 6th gave the Ponys a lead that was enough to see them take the game 7 - 4



Bronco and Pony - Week 2 Games
The streak continues!

The second weekend of baseball in the youth leagues meant a trip along the motorway for a match up with our local rivals the Manchester Saints. The Broncos were first game of the day and the players were hoping to continue their strong start to the season. The travelling spectators weren't to be disappointed as the team ran out comfortable winners 16 - 2

The afternoon game involving our Ponys followed a similar script to last week with another victory over Manchester. The saints did manage to put more runs on the board this time, but not enough to trouble the Halton team as the Polecats finished the day with a 25 - 7 win.



Opening Day 2013 - Update
What an opening day that was!

Saturday morning brought sunshine and high expectations to John Mills Ballpark. Both youth teams were in action with a long day of baseball ahead of them. When the dust finally settled the Halton players would look back on a memorable opening day.

Opening Day 2013
April sees the start of the 2013 baseball season

It has been a long long winter, but finally the 2013 season starts this weekend. On Saturday April 13th, Halton's youth teams take to the field for the first time this year. Both the Ponys and Broncos have double matchups against Cartmel and Manchester.

Next Sunday April 21st, the Jaguars will begin their 2013 campaign with a trip to Cumbria to face the Cartmel Valley Lions.

All training sessions this weekend have been cancelled.

Halton Borough Council have announced that the sports facility at Murdishaw, including our ballpark are closed this weekend due to the weather conditions.

Next training is on Wednesday 27th March at the Heath School.

These will be the last indoor sessions before the 2013 season.
